About me
Get to know me
I am a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and lifelong student. From a young age, I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to dance. Dancing, learning, teaching, and choreographing are as essential to me as breathing. I now specialize in West Coast Swing.
On this page, you will learn more about my journey and how it has shaped me into the dancer I am today.
How it all started...
I experienced the positive effects of dancing on the body and mind early on through dance therapy as a child. This laid the foundation for my enduring enthusiasm. As I began attending dance classes regularly, my talent was quickly recognized and supported by my teachers.
At just 13 years old, I was allowed to share my own choreographies and was then invited to strengthen the dance school's team. By assisting in various courses, quickly being adopted as the "danceschools child". I got to know several dances and was able to gain my first teaching experiences on the side.
It was around this time that I took my first steps of West Coast Swing, learning the basics from great teachers like Melanie Stocker Bucher and Michael Kielbasa, as they were teaching at our Festival really inspired me.
Although I have to say - West Coast Swing didn't really resonate with me back then - all I wanted to do was dance HipHop. If anyone had told me it would become my favorite dance, I'd probably have thought they were insane...
At just 14, I began teaching children. This experience ignited my passion for supporting people in learning and enhancing their dancing skills.
By 15, I began to learn partner dances intensively. I got to know the classic ballroom dances like Rumba, ChaCha, Waltz, and Tango. In the following years, I got to experience many other dances such as Argentine Tango, Lindy Hop, Boogie & Bachata. Initially focussing on Social Ballroom, I soon taught my own beginner courses, helping me develop a deep understanding of various dance techniques.
During this time, I was also able to participate in several training sessions on teaching theory. Additionally, I regularly taught Hip Hop & Contemporary, created my own choreographies for these styles, and continuously improved my skills.
After graduating school, I began my dance teacher training at ADTV, which I successfully completed. During this time, I re discovered West Coast Swing, falling completly in love with it. Today, I dedicate myself to West Coast Swing, participating in festivals, performing, judging competitions and teaching workshops as well as regular classes.
My West Coast Swing style is influenced by my wide range of other dances such as Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Argentine Tango, Lindy Hop, Bachata, and many more. This creates a versatile dance style. In my teaching, I place great emphasis on ergonomic and healthy movements. My goal is to help my students reach their full potential and find movement patterns that suit their bodies and provide them with well-being. I warmly invite you to discover the joy of dancing with me and to develop your dancing skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.
